This is the Day

Difficulties come in life. No saint or sinner is without the challenges that may meet us any given day. Each difficulty comes with a challenge that presents an opportunity to us. In difficulty, we have an opportunity to develop perseverance which produces proven character and ultimately hope. The end result will be to our benefit, if we allow the difficulty to have a perfect work in us. Sometimes we find ourselves amazed at the level of difficulty and severity of the challenges we may face in life. In some ways, this is odd, because we rarely think of our days of "smooth sailing" as being amazing too. If we look at the sum of our days, each day in its own way is amazing. The Psalmist said, "this is the day which the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it". Whether we have "smooth sailing" or difficulties today, let us be amazed that we were included in this life. Today we can see Him, as faith does a perfect work in us, and prepares to to be full of life and full of hope in spite of any difficulties that we may encounter.
