Set Apart

One of the most powerful realities in my life is that I am set apart for the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. This really moves me!

When we are thinking about our purpose on this highway of life, nothing will bring us peace and assurance like the awareness that we were chosen by God himself.

To be set apart means to be given to the plan and purposes of God. Those who are set apart are special, in so much as we are not given to the things which are passing away. It is a calling and identity that reminds us we are eternal beings with value and purpose. Those who are set apart are given to the uncommon life of God.

When we realize that we have been set apart, it makes it easier not to bow to temptation and to the things of this present world. Our being "set apart" both defines us and keeps us for our joining with him in perfect union.

I love being set apart as a child of God. It is a place of blessings, security, comfort, and hope. And to all who receive Jesus as their Lord, He gives them the right and power to become children of God for an eternity set apart unto Him!
